Additional information
If the accident / illness occurred outside the territory of Russia (vacation, business trip, etc.):
- If the event occurred outside the Russian Federation, the Insurer must be provided with medical documents, as well as documents from competent authorities that allow establishing the fact of the occurrence of an insured event during the insurance period, the nature of the injuries received, the duration of treatment, and medical and diagnostic measures.
- All medical documents obtained outside Russia are provided to the insurance company in the original with a notarized translation attached. The insurance company that insured medical expenses for this trip and/or the assistance company can help in obtaining medical documents. Upon returning to Russia, you should seek medical assistance at the appropriate institution and provide our company with an extract (certificate) about the event that occurred.
- Document requirements - usually those presented in the country where the insured event occurred. The documents must contain the following information: full name, patient's age, date of application, diagnosis.
- Risk "Death" as a result of an accident or illness in another country:
- Death Certificate translated into Russian, certified by a notary.
- Death Certificate translated into Russian, certified by a notary.
- Medical documents and documents from the police translated into Russian, certified by a notary.
- Copy of the document confirming repatriation (transportation of the body to the territory of registration and residence of the insured person, i.e. the Russian Federation).
- If the autopsy was performed on the territory of another state, then the autopsy data translated into Russian and certified by a notary are required. If the autopsy was performed in the Russian Federation, a copy of the autopsy report from the forensic medical examination (certified by this institution) is required.
- The costs of collecting the specified documents and translating them are paid by the Policyholder (Insured) or the Beneficiary.
IMPORTANT: There are a number of documents that must be copied immediately, otherwise it will be difficult to obtain them later.
In case of death — make a copy of the Death Certificate (form No. 40) indicating the cause of death, have the copy notarized, and only then submit it to the social services to receive benefits. In case of violent death, you will need a Forensic Medical Examination Report, which is issued and certified by investigative bodies (Ministry of Internal Affairs, Prosecutor's Office).
In case of disability — upon receiving a referral for a medical and social examination, make a copy of it and copies of all medical documents (epicrisis, extracts, etc.), certify with the signature of the Chief Physician and the seal of the medical institution that issued the referral. After establishing the disability group, make a copy of the Return Coupon, certify with the signature of the Chief Physician and the seal of the medical institution to which it is transferred.
If the insured event occurred as a result of an accident — you must immediately obtain a copy of the Accident Certificate indicating the victims, certified by the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate. In case of transfer of the case to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it is necessary to obtain a Resolution on initiation/refusal to initiate a criminal case or a copy of it, certified by the signature and seal of the issuing body (the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the prosecutor's office), a court decision.

Requirements for the provided medical documents:
- An extract from an outpatient card or medical history must have a stamp of the medical institution, certified by the signature of the chief physician/head of the medical institution, a triangular seal and must contain the following information: Full name and the patient's age, date, time and place of the event, circumstances of the event, diagnosis, period of treatment, results of additional research methods and treatment performed, consequences, information on issued sick leave certificates.
- If an X-ray examination was performed, it is necessary to provide X-ray images with a conclusion (a description of the images by the radiologist), as well as the results of additional research and diagnostic methods (if they were performed) with a conclusion.
- Uncertified copies of outpatient cards will not be accepted for consideration.
